Proposal:

 

1. Choose an author and study one or more texts by this author. Answer proposed questions and Research online.

 

2. Make a video-class 

 

The video-class must contain the following elements:

 

a) Information about the meanings of African American Literature;

 

b) Information about the author, the context of publication (including the artistic scenario) and the genre of his/her texts;

 

c) A general understanding of a selected text AND the analysis of at least one part of the text. The analysis must contain: analysis of language structure (versification/prose theory), word choice and possible meanings;

 

d) Creativity: Include any curiosities you want, any effects you want, any videos, any interactive tools you'd like. You can also include your own reading of a part of the text. 

 

PEER EVALUATION:

 

After recording your class, you will present it. Each student will give you a grade from 0 to 10, in each of the elements that follow:

 

1. Information about African American Literature - 20%

 

2. Information about the author, the context (including artistic scenario) and genre of the chosen text - 20%

 

3. analysis of the selected text (overview + detail analysis of a fragment) - containing language structure (versification or prose theory), word choice and possible meanings - 20%

 

4. Creativity - 40%

TEACHER CRITERIA

 

The four criteria above, plus:

* Language Use

* Posture

* Organization

 

The winners will receive 01 aditional point in the grade. The others will receive the correspondent homework grade. If you don't do the activity, you will lose homework points.
